When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. -When Harry Met Sally

We began this beautiful day by spending time with our bride, Lauren Little, her mother, daughter, and bridesmaids. It was filled with laughter, happy tears, gorgeous dress, and A LOT of makeup!
While the ladies finished their pre-wedding checklist, we ventured over to the groom and his groomsmen. This handsome group of men were the life of the party. There was never a dull moment if they were involved!
After we finished with the guys, we shooed them away so that Chris wouldn't see his bride before the appointed time!
The bridesmaids and Lauren made their way to the barn and we began our short portrait time, this includes first looks (for both the bride's attendants and for the father of the bride, Mr. Kenny), formals for Lauren and her bridal party.
The big moment finally arrived! The rustic church pews were filled with family and friends happy to see Chris and Lauren tie the knot! The ceremony location itself is on a beautiful, quiet, country setting in Independence, Louisiana called The Barn at TH Farm. I cannot say enough about this fabulous place!
After the ceremony, the guest made their way into the barn for a rest while the bridal party and I continued the formal portraits!
After we finished our portraits, we moved on to the reception! The food was prepared by Vincent Chauvin, JR. and it was DELICIOUS! I'm super lucky because I get to eat his food often (he's my father-in-law). The reception was one giant party and we had a blast!
We here at Kara Magee Photography wish the Carlisle Family many years of happiness! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day

Christmas time is my favorite time of year. Hands down. The music, laughter, time with friends and family, and the joy of my children are my favorite things. Christmas is always busy. Between the photoshoots (which I love and am very grateful for everyone), multiple trips back home to South Louisiana, my children’s school parties & activities, church events, and my other forty kids aka our youth group, I never have a dull moment. It’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I have to keep myself grounded and remember that the true reason for this wonderful holiday is the birth of our Savior.
Being a mother, it is my job to make sure that my children know who Jesus is and that they are grounded in their faith. My four-year-old little girl, in her own way, can tell you the story of Christmas. She and her brother both, of course being four and six, love to receive gifts. We have taught them who Santa Claus is, and that while yes, he is a part of Christmas, but he isn’t “the reason for the season”.
Recently The Animal Place Veterinary Hospital and I teamed up for their 4th Annual Christmas party. It was a blast as usual and I look forward to next year. I always look forward to seeing the look of wonder on all of the little ones faces.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Married & mommy of two. I just recently began my photography business. I look forward to sharing my work with you.
